Sauté one large onion, diced. Add 1 diced red bell pepper, 1 diced green bell pepper and 2 cloves of garlic, minced. Flavor with 5 tablespoons of chili sauce, ground cumin, dried oregano, ground sage and some salt.
Mix in the drained, cooked black beans and simmer for 10-15 minutes. In the meantime fry or grill the hamburgers. Finish the dish with sliced scallion and diced tomato or sliced cilantro. Serve with iceberg lettuce, tomato salsa, boiled rice and lemon.
